"Promote the World Road Congress"
During the week of the 20th to 26th of September 2009, in the City of Inchon South Korea a series of meetings were held relating to the XXIV World Road Congress to take place in Mexico City in September 2011, in which various issues were discussed concerning the organization of the congress.
As a result to these meetings, the council of the World Road Association, who jointly participates with the Ministry of Communication and Transportation of Mexico, and the Mexican Association of Engineering of Roads, in the organization of the Congress, they approved definitely the registration fees, the theme, sub- themes of the ministerial sessions and the topics for the meeting of the strategic management.
Parallel to these meetings the XIII Convention of the Road Engineer Association of Asia and Australia (ASSR) took place; with an attendance of approximately 2,500 people, where the congress was promoted in the closing session to the Asian and Pacific community with a booth and a sign .

On March 4th of 2009 the agreement of protocol was signed between the Secretary of Communication and Transportation of the Government of Mexico and the World Road Association with the purpose to formalize the agreements for the organization of the XXIV World Road Congress which will be held in Mexico City the 26th to 30th of September of 2011.
In the mentioned protocol, it is established that the congress will be organized by the Secretary of Communications of Mexico in conjunction with the Mexican Association of Engineering of Roads A.C. which is the National Committee representative for the World Road Association.
The signing of the protocol took place at the Hacienda de los Morales, presided by Eng.Oscar de Buen Richkarday Sub-Secretary of Infrastructure and Anne Marie Leclerc President of the Association, with the testimonial assistance of the members of the Executive Committee of the Association.
The jobs corresponding to the organization of the event for the parties involved were formally distributed and responsibilities were assigned. This significant event officially initiates the process of the realization of the congress.
